From the supplier: Tree nuts such as almonds, walnuts and pecans and the legume nut peanut have been found to lower blood cholesterol despite their high fat content. They contain Vitamin E and other vitamins such as folic acid and B-6. Many food processors, however, still do not put nuts into their products because of price considerations and the high calories that they contain. Nevertheless, others market products with nuts without necessarily advertising their health benefits preferring to concentrate on their taste advantages.
